In winter, we all feel the need for fresh fruits and vegetables. Therefore, we try to do as much canning as possible in the summer. Today we will show you how to make 2 garlic spreads for bread. You can also add it to soups, casseroles, and sauces.

These recipes will save you a lot of time. Just add a spoonful or two to the dish and enjoy!

Garlic Spreads for Bread

Spread With Lemon Juice


  • 9 oz (250 g) garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  1. Prepare a sterilized dry jar about 11 oz (300 ml). It is best to store the spread in small jars.
  2. Peel the garlic and grind it in a blender.
  3. Add salt, lemon juice and olive oil. Turn the blender on once again.
  4. Transfer the paste to a clean jar and top with 1 tbsp of olive oil and screw the lid.

You can store the garlic spread in both the refrigerator and the freezer. It doesn’t turn into ice, you can also pour it into an ice cube tray.

Spread With Herbs


  • 9 oz (250 g) garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 sprigs of dill


  1. Peel the garlic and grind it in the blender.
  2. Chop the dill and add it to the garlic. Also add salt, vinegar, and oil. Grind until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into a dry, sterilized jar and top with some olive oil. Screw the lid and store in the refrigerator.

So, after 20 minutes you have two wonderful garlic spreads you can eat right away. We strongly recommend trying both recipes.
