While we serve soup as a starter, in sunny Italy, they treat people to hot pasta with cheese. Nowadays, no one doubts that Italians came up with the dish. The fact is that once upon a time, Marco Polo brought back either the idea or the recipe and the product itself from China. Perhaps the origin of pasta matters to historians, but we are interested in the taste of this delicious dish.

People say you can only find perfect pasta in Italy or a remarkably good restaurant with an Italian cook (or at least one who has learned their craft in the homeland of da Vinci). But what if we shared a secret of preparing it in your kitchen in half an hour? If you think it’s impossible, read the recipe.



Wash tomatoes and cut each fruit in half. Peel garlic and cut each clove into thin slices. Cut chili pepper into circles.


Peel onion, cut the bulb in half, and slice each part into half rings.


Take a pan with a wide bottom and low sides and put raw spaghetti in the middle.


Add onions, garlic, chili, and cherry tomatoes to the pan. We recommend putting the ingredients on either side of the spaghetti, not on top.


Wash basil. Do not cut it; put it into the pan with other ingredients. Be sure to set aside a few leaves, as you will need them later.


Add olive oil, black pepper and salt to taste.


Now pour water into the pan.


Turn on the cooker. It takes approximately 10 minutes for everything to boil and the ingredients to mix sufficiently.


Grate hard cheese directly into the pan. Add the remaining basil leaves, and some more salt and pepper. Wait a few minutes, and you're done.

The secret of fast cooking is thinly sliced vegetables. Your pasta with delicious sauce is ready to be served in 15 minutes. Tip: as soon as you start heating the ingredients, be sure to check the readiness of the dish once every few minutes because your spaghetti may cook faster or slower depending on the variety of wheat.
