How To Get Thicker Hair: 5 Natural Ways

Every girl and woman wants her hair to be beautiful, healthy, and voluminous. And who wouldn’t want to get thicker hair? However, due to poor water quality, constant use of hot tools, as well as improper care, even the most luxurious hair can become thin, dull, and brittle.

If you are researching tips on how to get thicker hair, this article is for you. We have selected five recipes for hair masks you can make at home. Just a couple of minutes of your time in the evenings — and your hair will look stunning!

Kefir and Egg Yolk Hair Mask

This mask is excellent for strengthening your hair and stimulating its growth. To prepare the miracle remedy, mix two egg yolks, a glass of kefir, and a tablespoon of mustard. Apply the mask to the roots first and then evenly spread it over the entire length of the hair. Cover your hair, and let the mask sit for about an hour, then rinse it with regular shampoo and then — with a sage infusion.

Red Pepper Hair Mask

This mask will help if you want to strengthen your hair. To prepare it, you will need only two ingredients: burdock oil and ground red pepper. Mix three tablespoons of oil and half a teaspoon of pepper, rub the mixture into the scalp and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse your hair, preferably, with an herb infusion.

Oil and Lemon Juice Hair Mask

With regular use, this hair mask will help thin and brittle hair recover, making them thicker and more elastic. You can use almond, olive, castor, or burdock oil. Combine a little oil with lemon juice, rub into the scalp, cover your hair, and let the mask sit for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with ordinary shampoo.

Kefir and Cocoa Hair Mask

Fermented milk products greatly benefit hair. Due to dairy protein, such masks will make your hair pliant and thick. To prepare the treatment, combine a glass of kefir, one teaspoon of cocoa, and egg. Rub the mask into the scalp, cover your hair, and let it sit for an hour.

Yeast Hair Mask

If you dream of having beautiful and thick hair, this mask is for you. To prepare it, mix a glass of warm milk, a teaspoon of yeast and a tablespoon of honey. Let the treatment sit in a warm place for an hour before using it. After that, apply the mask on the hair roots, evenly spread it over the entire length, and let sit for an hour. Rinse with an infusion of rosemary and nettle with the addition of apple cider vinegar.

Choose a homemade hair mask that suits your needs best and use it regularly — only then you will get thicker hair that will be strong and shiny. Of course, you should also properly take care of it. Whenever there’s an opportunity not to use a hairdryer and let your hair dry on its own, use it. For more DIY hair remedies, check out our articles on ginger for hair growth and avocado hair mask.

I am an English major with a love of languages and fiction, and with an incurable travel bug. In my free time, I read fantasy, drink copious amounts of coffee, and like to go see movies. Culinary art means everything to me. My main hypostasis is the taster, though. The music school has taught me to appreciate the symphony of airy meringues, to create harmonious overtures of light snacks, hard rock of meat, fish, and vegetables on the grill. Choir classes have accustomed me to hear and feel the people nearby and create perfect harmonies of sounds.
