If you have ever tried cordon bleu, you probably fell head over heels in love with this delightful dish. After all, who doesn’t enjoy tender breaded chicken with an appetizing filling? People tend to prepare this exquisite delicacy during holidays since it takes a decent amount of time. However, there is a way to save valuable time preparing a mouthwatering cordon bleu with ham.

How would you feel about baking a large portion of meat with ham and cheese in a little over an hour? Sounds good, doesn’t it? Serve it to the table and only then cut into pieces. Plus, you can prepare it on the weekend and make a week’s worth of a yummy lunch to take it with you to work or pack it for your significant other.



Thoroughly wash chicken breasts, place two on a cutting board, cover with cling film, and beat until thin layer. Do the same with the remaining chicken.


Cut cheese and ham into thin slices. Take two identical rectangular baking dishes, line their bottom and sides with cling film.


Place the chicken breasts inside the dishes, two into each, making sure that the meat hangs from the sides. Rub the chicken with salt and pepper to taste. Next, lay a layer of cheese and ham on top and wrap the filling with the overhanging edges of the meat.


Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Then, carefully combine the contents of the two baking dishes and wrap the resulting formation with cling film.


Pop in the freezer for 2 hours. Next, roll the stuffed meat in flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs.


Fill a large frying pan or cauldron with sunflower oil (you should have something resembling a deep fryer). Heat the oil and fry the meat from all sides until golden brown.


Finally, pop the chicken with filling in the oven preheated to 285 °F degrees for 60 minutes.
