Probably there’s nothing more comforting than a warm cookie. And today we’d like to share with you this tried and tested recipe for piped butter cookies.

They are light and buttery, go perfectly with a cup of hot tea, and make an excellent Christmas treat. Be sure to try them!

Steps

1
Done

Remove the butter from the fridge to soften it. Beat it with a whisk. Add the powdered sugar and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla extract and egg and beat again. Fold the flour into the mixture using a spatula.

2
Done

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Fill a star-tipped piping bag with the cookie dough and form the cookies on the sheet.

3
Done

Bake the treats for 12 minutes at 350 °F (180 °C).

Trust us, this is way better than what you'll find in the store. Give these light and crumbly treats a try. Bon appetit!

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
