Many sophisticated recipes come from France. And tender mousse desserts prove this fact. An airy chocolate mousse is a signature treat of French cuisine. And, of course, we definitely couldn’t get past it.

Our chocolate mousse with pear perfectly combines various flavors that any foodie will appreciate. You just need to cook juicy ripe pear in white wine along with mint leaves, and for the mousse beat sour cream, yolks and egg whites. Don’t forget to top off all of this deliciousness with melted chocolate.

Steps

1
Done

Peel the pears and cut them into several pieces. Put the fruit in a saucepan and fill it with wine. Add mint leaves and ½ cup (100 g) of sugar.

2
Done

Put the saucepan on the heat, bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 9 minutes until the pear is soft.

3
Done

In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream, half of the remaining sugar and vanilla. Beat in a blender.

4
Done

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks with the rest of the sugar, and the egg whites with salt. Dice the boiled pear.

5
Done

Melt the chocolate chips over a double boiler. Mix chocolate with whipped yolks, sour cream, pears (leave a little for decoration). Carefully incorporate the egg whites and thoroughly mix.

6
Done

Place the dessert in a glass, garnish with slices of pear and grated chocolate. Put in the fridge for a few hours.

Serve it chilled. Such a homemade treat will be a jewel on your holiday table. Bon Appetit!

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
