Cook the potatoes in a pot for 40 minutes or until cooked through. Place them in cold water. Peel the potatoes and grate.

To the mixture add the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and combine everything with your hands. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough.

Coat your hands with some oil. Take a piece of dough, shape a patty, place a spoonful of the cheese inside. Then roll the dough into a ball and press a little. Shape into a square.

Cook the potato fritters in a skillet brushed with vegetable oil until cooked through and golden brown on both sides.

Serve the fritters while still hot with your sauce of choice. They are great as a movie snack!
