Hummus is a popular appetizer hailing from the Middle East. It usually features chickpeas, sesame tahini paste, lemon juice, and garlic. However, due to its creamy texture and neutral taste, hummus is an ideal base for adding other ingredients. Vegetables, nuts, and cheese, for example. Our spinach and feta hummus is a case in point.

This green spinach and feta hummus is an excellent variation of the plant-based dip, combining fresh spinach and somewhat spicy and salty cheese, which makes it an ideal snack. Serve the vibrantly colorful dish with pita triangles, potato chips, tortilla slices, and baked vegetables such as carrots and celery.

Combine boiled chickpeas, fresh spinach, feta, and the rest of the ingredients in a blender bowl.

Blend at high speed until smooth.

You can make spinach and feta hummus ahead and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Serve warm, heating it in the microwave, or cold.
