Who said that you need tons of kitchen appliances to make delicious desserts? This delicious banana and chocolate cake recipe requires only a stovetop, a frying pan and several simple ingredients.

For convenience, you can use a blender for mashing the bananas. But if you don’t have one, you can easily do the trick using a fork.

Steps

1
Done

Cut the bananas into thin slices. Into a large bowl, add the eggs, beat them with vinegar. Add in the bananas and milk. Mash with a fork or process in a blender until smooth.

2
Done

Fold the yeast, sugar, cornmeal, and flour into the batter. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside to let the batter rise.

3
Done

Add the chopped almonds and chocolate chips to the batter. Brush the bottom of a frying pan with oil and pour the batter in it. Cook under the lid until the bottom is golden brown. Flip the cake over. Cook under the lid for another couple of minutes. Slice and serve.

The combination of bananas and chocolate is exquisite. And the chopped almonds add a nice texture to this soft cake. Be sure to try it and tell us what you think!

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
