There’s no doubt that a classic cherry oreo sheet cake will make a welcome addition to any table. The dough is light and airy, the cream — tender. The filling of cherries and Oreo cookies harmonizes perfectly with the other layers. Finally, it all culminates with sweet chocolate fudge. By the way, if your sweet tooth craves something even more sugary, you can substitute the dark chocolate with the milk one.

You can use both fresh and frozen berries to make the cherry oreo sheet cake. If you fancy a richer flavor and aroma, cover cherries with alcohol overnight. Before starting to make the cake, be sure to dry the berries.

Beat egg whites with salt until dense. Gradually add sugar, continuing to whisk.

Mix flour with baking powder and cocoa, combine with the egg white mass, stir.

Line a baking mold with parchment and grease it with butter. Transfer the dough into the mold, distribute it evenly. Bake for 35 minutes at 360 °F.

Cover gelatin with water, stir and let sit.

Separately whisk 24 fl oz (700 ml) of cream with powdered sugar. Add gelatin while continuing to whisk. Divide cookies into quarters and add them to the cream; mix.

Cut off the upper part from the sponge cake, place cherries on top, and evenly spread with the cream. Cover the cake with the cut part of the sponge and refrigerate for 6 hours.

Heat the remaining cream, add chocolate, melt until smooth. Pour on top of the cake and let cool.

Decorate each slice of the cherry oreo sheet cake with a cherry. The treat looks especially impressive cut into pieces: a magnificent sponge with a generous layer of cream. Inside, you can see cherries and crumbles of your favorite Oreo cookies. Everyone will want to try a slice!
