If you’re tired of basic fried chicken recipes, and want to jazz it up a little, this chicken thighs recipe is for you. It is finger-licking good and the ingredients are so simple, you probably already have all of them in your kitchen! You can try using chicken breasts instead of thighs. It also works well for this recipe.

Such nourishing meat with mouth-watering sauce would make a great dinner meal for the whole family. This chicken is perfect if you crave something sweet and savory with a bit of spice. Cook it as you prefer: with or without bone and skin, try adding broth instead of water, everything goes!

Steps

1
Done

Season the thighs with all dry spices and set it aside. Sear the thighs in a preheated over medium high heat pan until they are golden brown and tender.

2
Done

Reduce the heat, continue cooking under the lid until the meat is cooked, turning it every 5 minutes. Leave only a little bit of oil in the pan for the flavor.

3
Done

When the meat is done, put it in the pan so that the skin is up; add minced garlic to the pan and distribute thoroughly. Fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

4
Done

Add in all the liquid ingredients. Increase the heat to medium high and continue cooking for about 3-4 minutes, until the sauce is reduced and thickened. Top off with the herbs of choice and serve while still hot.

This meal is so quick and easy to make, it will definitely become your go-to dinner recipe! Try serving it with rice or potatoes. Or you can swap it to your favorite salad to make this meal healthier. Bon appetit!

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
