First of all, Indian cuisine is famous for a large number of various bread products. Therefore, it is impossible to imagine the diet of these people without all kinds of rolls, pancakes and other flour products. Indian parotta in a frying pan a delicious and appealing treat made from wheat flour and semolina.

It is noteworthy that you can make these indian parotta pancakes from practically nothing. You will need only the most basic ingredients. Choose durum wheat. Then the treat will turn out exactly as they make it in India.

Combine flour, salt, sugar and semolina. Add warm water and knead the dough. Cover it and set aside for 20 minutes.

Sprinkle the work surface with flour and lay the dough on it. Divide it into 4 parts, roll each one into a ball. Cover with a towel and leave for another 20 minutes.

Heat butter in a saucepan, add melted butter and mix.

Roll out the ball of dough into a thin layer, grease with an butter mixture and carefully make incisions along it. Roll the dough into a roll, and then make a spiral from it. Repeat with the rest of the balls of dough.

Grease the rolls with the butter mixture, cover with a towel and leave for 10 minutes. Grease again and then flatten them with your hands.

Heat the butter mixture in a pan and fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.

You can cook Indian parotta at any time of the day and for any occasion. In the morning, they are perfect for breakfast if you grease them with butter or dip in jam. During the day, the pancakes easily replace regular bread. And in the evening you can eat them with tea.
