Stewed Cabbage With Sausages

Everyday food should be quick and easy to make, and at the same time perfectly affordable. Stewed cabbage with sausages definitely meets all these criteria, and besides, it is very tasty.

We advise you to cook a lot in advance, hearty cabbage will last you for several days. Hunter’s sausages will add to the dish a pleasant smoked aroma. This combination has been proven over the years. And a spoonful of fragrant caraway seeds will make the dish more than perfect. You can easily replace sausage with bacon for this recipe.



Grind onions, chop cabbage and grate carrots on a coarse grater.


Pour the ingredients into a deep frying pan and cook over medium heat, constantly stirring.


When the cabbage is slightly reduced in volume, add the broth and vegetable oil, thoroughly mix.


Cut all the sausages and add them to the pan. Also add caraway seeds.


Stew the cabbage under the lid for 15–20 minutes at low heat. At the end, add chopped dill.

Stewed cabbage with sausages will become even tastier if served with sour cream. This dish is a great addition to potatoes and tastes perfectly fine on its own.
