If you are looking for something unusual to serve, you will definitely like fragrant stuffed mashed potatoes. The crust of this treat is made from boiled potatoes, bread crumbs and parmesan. And mozzarella together with bacon filling complement the crust perfectly.

When making stuffed mashed potatoes, it is best to use mozzarella mini. If you do not have bacon, use smoked sausage. You can add other spices to the crust. But nutmeg is the undeniable classic for this recipe.



Peel, boil, and mash the potatoes or just use leftovers. Add the bread crumbs, parmesan, nutmeg, egg yolks and parsley. Salt, pepper, and mix.


Transfer the mixture into a pastry bag. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and form a spiral-shaped crust of the appetizers.


Lay out a piece of mozzarella in the center of each appetizer, add bacon cubes around the mozzarella.


Next finish the appetizers, covering the filling with the potato mixture. Bake the dish for 15 minutes at 375 °F (190 °C).

Delicate potato appetizers can be put on the table with various sauces or vegetables. This quick and tasty snack will be great at any time of the day. Serve the dish while still hot.
