If you liked our famous and fashionable nut and chocolate Esterhazy cake, the incredibly delicious Oreo cheesecake, and the weightless and tender cream cheese souffle, then you will be impressed by this mousse cheesecake with an intense chocolate flavor, which you will want to add to your list of go-to desserts.

The elegant and delicious New York-style no-bake cheesecake with Oreo crust will especially appeal to chocolate and quick light dessert lovers.

Steps

1
Done

Separate Oreos into cream and creamless halves. Grind the dark, creamless halves into crumbs in a blender, add melted butter, and process again in the blender. Transfer the crumbs into a baking dish, press them with a glass, and pop into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

2
Done

Mix room temperature cream cheese with 1 oz (30 g) of sugar. Cover gelatin with water, stir, and microwave until dissolved.

3
Done

Break a bar of chocolate into pieces, mix them with 2 oz (60 ml) of thick cream, melt over a pan of simmering water, while continuously stirring and not bringing to a boil. Let the mixture cool slightly and then pour it into the cream cheese, add dissolved gelatin, and mix thoroughly.

4
Done

Whip another 2 fl oz (60 ml) of cream with a mixer until fluffy and combine with the chocolate and cheese mass. Whip the remaining 1 ¾ oz (50 g) of cream with a teaspoon of sugar.

5
Done

Line the sides of the mold with parchment paper, cover the cookie base with the cream, refrigerate overnight. In the morning, remove the mold and the paper, decorate the chocolate cheesecake with cream whipped with sugar, chocolate pieces, and mint leaves.

The easiest way to remove no-bake cheesecake from the mold is to heat the exterior using, for example, a hairdryer. Direct hot air around the rim until the condensation evaporates, and then you can easily remove the cake from the mold.

I am an English major with a love of languages and fiction, and with an incurable travel bug. In my free time, I read fantasy, drink copious amounts of coffee, and like to go see movies. Culinary art means everything to me. My main hypostasis is the taster, though. The music school has taught me to appreciate the symphony of airy meringues, to create harmonious overtures of light snacks, hard rock of meat, fish, and vegetables on the grill. Choir classes have accustomed me to hear and feel the people nearby and create perfect harmonies of sounds.
