Is it possible nowadays to surprise anyone with an omelet? It would seem to be like any other egg dish. But there’s still a way to make a delicious and not boring breakfast — a vegetarian double-layer omelet with cheese.

Today’s omelet recipe will please not only those who like a quick breakfast, but also fans of creative bright meals. After all, it’s so hard to resist the mouth-watering roll-up with melted cheese inside!

double-layer omelet

Steps

1
Done

Separate yolks from egg whites. Finely chop the herbs, mix with the egg whites and set aside. Season the yolks with salt and pepper, slice the cheese.

2
Done

Pour the yolk mixture over the preheated sunflower oil and spread it in a thin layer. When the bottom of the yolk has set, put cheese on the edge and roll it up, helping with two spatulas.

3
Done

Move the roll-up to the side of the pan. Pour the egg whites with herbs to cover the bottom of the pan again. When the egg whites are cooked, roll-up the omelet to the side, cook for another half a minute and serve.

You can use any fresh herbs you have at home instead of dill, but when using dill, the two-layer omelet still turns out more fragrant.

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
