Garlic Powder – ½ tsp
Recipe
Friends come to my house every Friday. And every time I make my go-to snack. The most interesting thing about it is the unusual cooking process. This fried pastry has such an original shape due to an ordinary potato masher.
It is very important not to dip the masher completely into the batter, otherwise you will have to scrub the batter off the surface. These homemade snacks disappear in a matter of minutes. So you have to make a large batch. And then you can enjoy the movie with delicious savory pastry!

Beat together flour, starch, 1 tsp of salt, egg and milk in a deep bowl. You should get a thin, smooth batter. |

Pour the oil into the pan so that it covers the bottom by ¾ inch (2 cm). Preheat it. Place the potato masher in it for 10 seconds. Use a paper towel to wipe off excess oil. |

Dip the potato masher in the batter so that it only slightly touches the surface, and hold it for 5–10 seconds. Then dip the masher into the oil, shake it lightly to make the batter come off. And leave the potato masher in the oil so that it does not cool down. |

Fry the snack for 5–10 seconds on each side over medium heat. Do the same with the rest of the batter. Transfer the pastry to paper towels. |

Spread the homemade snacks on parchment paper and sprinkle with a mixture of salt, paprika and garlic powder. |
The snack turns out very crispy and spicy. This is a great alternative to chips and other similar snacks. And don't be intimidated by the cooking process. It's quite simple. Bon appetit!
