Thick and Creamy Homemade Yogurt

Have you ever tried homemade yogurt? It’s so delicious and easy to make that once you try it you’ll never want to purchase store-bought yogurt again.

For this delicious and creamy yogurt recipe, you’ll need only 3 ingredients and some patience. The recipe requires a yogurt maker but you can also try making it in a slow cooker.



Add the sugar to a large bowl and mix it with the yogurt. Add in the milk.


Pour the mixture into the jars and place them in a yogurt maker. Alternatively use a slow cooker.


Close the yogurt maker and let the yogurt stand for 12 hours.


Cover the jars with lids and let them cool. Then place them in the refrigerator for 8 hours.

If you don't like sweet yogurt adjust the amount of sugar in the recipe. Or don't add sugar at all but when the yogurt is prepared use some jam or honey as a sweetener.


Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
