Some of us love fried chicken because it’s fragrant and tender, and some because it’s crispy. Well, we found a recipe that will appeal to both types: honey lemon garlic chicken thighs. Soft, fragrant, with a golden crust. You can easily call this thigh recipe festive, even taking into account the simplicity and accessibility of all the ingredients.

The trick of this delicacy is in properly made sauce. It is the sauce that makes the dish so glossy. A drop of soy sauce, a little vinegar and half a glass of honey will balance the taste and give you an incredible gastronomic experience.

Steps

1
Done

Combine the honey, vinegar, lemon juice and 6 crushed cloves of garlic. Stir until the sauce consistency.

2
Done

Season the thighs with salt and pepper and pour the sauce. Remove the chicken from the sauce and place in a frying pan with oil. Fry until golden brown. The remaining sauce will still come in handy!

3
Done

Pour the sauce over the chicken again and fry for a few more minutes. Then put the thighs on a baking sheet, put a few cloves of garlic between them and pour the remaining sauce. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 350 °F (180 °C).

4
Done

Serve with lemon, herbs and left over juice. Bon Appetit!

As you can see, the sauce is very important. The chicken is caramelized precisely because of it. In addition, garlic-lemon sauce goes well with the following side dishes: potatoes, rice, couscous and pasta. As a decoration, you can use not only onions, but also other fresh herbs. We also recommend adding a little lemon zest.

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
