If you’re a huge fan of Italian cuisine like me you have to try this scrumptious dip inspired by lasagna. This dish is a real crowd-pleaser.

It is best to serve it with crisp pasta chips. Don’t worry, they are super easy to make. Shall we start?

Steps

1
Done

Combine the sausage, marinara sauce, cottage cheese, ricotta, Parmesan, oregano, basil, black pepper, red pepper, 9 oz (250 g) of the mozzarella, and 1 tsp salt.

2
Done

Pour the ingredients into a baking dish. Top off with the rest of the mozzarella and bake at 350 °F (180 °C) for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

3
Done

Meanwhile, cook the lasagna sheets or lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Pat them dry. Cut into triangles.

4
Done

Deep fry them for a couple of minutes. Place on paper towels and top off with ½ tsp salt.

Together with the chips this dip makes a great crowd-friendly appetizer. Give it a try and tell us what you think!

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
