Tomato Sauce – ⅔ cup (160 ml)

Vinegar – 1 tbsp

Salt – to taste

Ground Black Pepper – to taste
Recipe
Dietary rabbit meat has great nutritional value, so it’s quite expensive. But It’s not only the price that stops many people from buying. They think the cooking process is very complicated. But is it so? Try this dutch oven rabbit recipe and see for yourself.
All you need for a perfectly cooked rabbit is a long simmering of the meat. You can braise it in different ways. Someone uses wine, someone prefers cream. The meat turns out tender and fragrant. Our method makes it possible to fully enjoy the taste of the meal. And such a side dish will provide you with a good feed.

Cut the rabbit carcass into pieces and soak in water and vinegar for an hour. If you are not sure about the quality of the meat, it’s best to leave the meat in the mixture overnight. This will help remove the odor. |

Melt butter in a Dutch oven and add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Fry the rabbit in oil, add spices and pour meat with ⅔ cup (160 ml) of water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 60 minutes. |

Fry finely chopped onions separately in the rest of the oil, add rinsed rice and fry for 10 minutes, constantly stirring. Pour in the rest of the water and tomato sauce, add spices and bring to a boil. |

Cut the sausages into slices and add to the rice. Stir and simmer for about 15 minutes until tender. Put the side dish on the plate and top off with the braised rabbit. |
Stewed rice can be served on its own. It’s quite satisfying. But when combined with rabbit it’s just a godsend. Before serving, decorate the dish with herbs.
