Today I’d like to share a little trick with those who love fried beef liver. The main task in the preparation of such a dish is to get rid of bitterness, and give the dish a nice, appetizing look. You can achieve it by marinating the liver in cornstarch.

This is the way I cook beef, pork or lamb liver. And I always get tender nuggets. You’ll want to cook the dish over and over again. Just one ingredient will change the taste of this food.

Steps

1
Done

Wash the liver, cleanse it from the bile ducts, cut into medium pieces. Season with salt and pepper.

2
Done

Beat the egg with the cornstarch, pour over the liver and thoroughly mix. Set aside for 40–60 minutes.

3
Done

Heat some oil in a frying pan, fry each piece on both sides for 2 minutes.

4
Done

Fry the onion sliced in half rings until transparent. Combine it with liver, simmer over medium heat for 10–15 minutes.

These delicious nuggets go well with mashed potatoes or rice. I'm sure this will now be the only way you cook liver.

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
