Holiday planning begins with a menu. One of the most win-win dishes is honey mustard glazed ham. Thanks to the cooking method, even a large piece of meat will stay juicy inside.

Also, special glaze adds a beautiful golden crust to the ham. The cooking time is quite long, but the dish is worth the wait and looks fantastic. A large piece is enough to feed everyone who wants to taste this wonderful dish.

Steps

1
Done

Combine a chopped onion, garlic, apple cider vinegar, mustard, orange juice, and 10 cloves in a baking dish.

2
Done

Make diamond cuts on one side of the meat and insert one clove bud in the center of each diamond.

3
Done

Place a wire rack on the baking dish and put the meat on it. Wrap with foil and put in an oven, preheated to 400 °F (200 °C), for 1 hour.

4
Done

Remove the clove buds, pour the meat with the resulting sauce.

5
Done

Pour the sauce into a saucepan and put on heat. Add Dijon mustard, honey, soy sauce and bread crumbs. Stir and bring to a boil.

6
Done

Grease the meat with the mixture and bake at 400 °F (200 °C) for 30 minutes.

Fragrant and juicy ham, cooked in the oven, is great both for morning tea and a festive dinner. See for yourself!

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
