In restaurants, they often serve steak with berry sauce — it helps enhance the taste of meat. Our recipe includes it as well, and we believe this pork dish is perfect for holidays or a romantic dinner.

Tender meat cooked in wine, with delicious sweet-and-sour red currant sauce, will decorate any table. Moreover, it will give the meal a more vibrant and exquisite flavor, whereas the pleasant aroma will whet your appetite.

Steps

1
Done

Combine soy sauce with lemon juice, paprika, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of starch. Stir.

2
Done

Slice meat into half-inch-thick slices. Place them in the marinade and let them sit there for 30–60 minutes.

3
Done

Puree red currants, garlic, and olive oil in a blender. Place the mixture in a pan and add sugar. Bring to a boil, lower heat, and reduce the sauce.

4
Done

Dilute starch with water and add the mixture to the red currant. Cook for several minutes, stirring continuously.

5
Done

Fry the meat on both sides in olive oil over high heat until golden brown.

6
Done

Reduce the heat and pour red wine into the pan. Cover with a lid and cook until the wine has almost evaporated. Turn the meat over from time to time.

Serve the pork with sauce warm — thus, the meat will be especially juicy. Also, a glass of red wine will perfectly complement the dish.

I am an English major with a love of languages and fiction, and with an incurable travel bug. In my free time, I read fantasy, drink copious amounts of coffee, and like to go see movies. Culinary art means everything to me. My main hypostasis is the taster, though. The music school has taught me to appreciate the symphony of airy meringues, to create harmonious overtures of light snacks, hard rock of meat, fish, and vegetables on the grill. Choir classes have accustomed me to hear and feel the people nearby and create perfect harmonies of sounds.

Thanks for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such excellent information being shared freely out there.

I have been absent for a while, but now I remember why I used to love this website. Thank you, I’ll try and check back more frequently. How frequently you update your site?
