We are happy to present a lazy version of the famous Italian dessert. It’s going to be low-maintenance and certainly delicious. Prepare the necessary ingredients in advance (you can buy sponge cake, ice cream, and cream cheese the day before) so that it takes a little time to assemble your quick tiramisu.

If you plan on serving tiramisu for children, replace the coffee in which you will moisten the cake with hot cocoa. Making the dessert exclusively for adults? Add 1 tbsp of rum or cognac to the coffee.

Steps

1
Done

Beat the mascarpone with melted ice cream. Take one half and beat it with 2 tbsp of cocoa powder.

2
Done

Using a glass in which you will serve the dessert, cut 8 circles from the sponge cake (2 circles per 1 glass). Dip each circle in coffee.

3
Done

Put one circle on the bottom of the glass. Spread 1 ½ tbsp of mascarpone cream on top, then add 1 ½ tbsp of the coffee cream. Continue to alternate the layers.

4
Done

Cover the glasses with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours. Sprinkle the rest of the cocoa powder before serving.

Instead of cocoa powder, sprinkle the finished dessert with chocolate chips or chopped hazelnuts. Do you like our recipe for lazy tiramisu?

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
