There are people who simply hate all vegetables except potatoes and try to exclude them from their daily diet. But, for example, carrots do not have to be overcooked and tasteless. The taste of this vegetable can be vibrant and rich. Add garlic and grated cheese to roasted carrots, season the dish with dry parsley, and the result will pleasantly surprise you.

Carrot sticks with cheese and garlic are tastier than any fast food. To keep the dish not only tasty, but also healthy, substitute deep-frying for roasting in the oven.

Rinse the carrots, if desired, remove the peel, although this is optional.

Cut the carrots into long even strips. First cut the vegetable in half, and then cut each half, holding with a fork.

Put the carrots in a bowl, add oil, salt, grated hard cheese, pepper and garlic powder. You can use finely chopped fresh parsley, or dried one.

Stir the seasoned carrots so that the spices and oil are evenly distributed.

Put the carrot sticks on the parchment paper, leaving a small space between them so that the carrots bake well.

Preheat the oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Bake for 30 minutes, occasionally flipping over and checking the readiness of the carrots. If you can easily poke them through with a fork and the veggies are golden brown — your snack is ready.

Plain yogurt without sugar or additives is best for the sauce. Add lemon juice and spices to it.

Leave the carrots to cool for several minutes, and you can serve them.

Carrot sticks in the oven are a light and irresistible snack. And the garlic sauce perfectly complements it.
