Although we all aspire to eat vitamin-rich meals, many believe that healthy food is never tasty. However, it is a misperception!

We want to share with you a recipe for a delicious spiral pie with spinach. Spinach classifies as a superfood, as it contains a tremendous amount of vitamins and minerals, as well as a lot of protein and fiber. It is beneficial for people with diabetes, oncological diseases, and problems associated with the nervous system.

Prepare the Dough

Mix flour with cold butter, add cooled kefir, salt, sugar, and baking powder. Stir the ingredients until you get an elastic dough.

Form a ball from the dough and let it sit at room temperature.

Prepare the Filling and Form the Pie

Rinse the spinach and pat it dry with a paper towel. Then chop the spinach coarsely.

Put the spinach in a warm pan greased with sunflower oil and fry for 5 minutes. It should soften a little and decrease in size. Put the spinach in a bowl and drain the excess liquid.

On a coarse grater, grate the cheese and mix it with spinach. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Roll the dough into a thin sheet and cut it into long strips. Place spinach and cheese in the middle of each piece along its whole length.

Using your fingers, gently connect the edges of the dough, forming a tube. Take a round baking dish and grease it with vegetable oil. Form a spiral from spinach rolls.

Bake the Pie

Beat the egg. Brush the surface of the pie with the beaten egg. Sprinkle the cake with sesame seeds and bake for 30–40 minutes at a temperature of 360 °F degrees.

Add Finishing Touches

Brush the surface of the finished pie with a small piece of butter.
