In Italy, they consider lemon a genuine gift of nature. It is a base for many cakes and sweets, as well as the famous Limoncello liquor. However, few people know about a popular Italian after-dinner drink, which is consumed after a sumptuous feast to aid in digestion and relieve heaviness in the stomach.
Canarino is an infusion of bay leaf and lemon, which is usually drunk after a meal. In winter, it is used to treat colds. It is an excellent natural remedy for stomach pain and nausea, which can be prepared in only 10 minutes.

Aside from bay leaves, you can add a bud of clove or some fresh ginger to the infusion. If you want, feel free to add the juice of half a lemon to the finished drink and sweeten it with sugar.
