Not everyone likes to make cakes, because you need to spend a lot of time and effort. But what if we tell you that you can make a cake in a microwave in just 10 or 15 minutes? Try it yourself!

A quick cake can be prepared if the guests are already on the doorstep, and you forgot about the sweets. Or if after a hard weekday you still want to treat yourself and the loved ones to something delicious.

Steps

1
Done

Beat eggs, add to them ¾ cup (150 g) of sugar, a pinch of salt and milk. Mix.

2
Done

Sift flour and cocoa, thoroughly mix.

3
Done

Mix the soda with vinegar and pour in other ingredients along with vegetable oil. Mix.

4
Done

Pour the batter into a silicone bowl and microwave for about 4 minutes at high power. After that leave the cake in the microwave for 10 minutes.

5
Done

To prepare the cream, beat sour cream with ⅓ cup (60 g) of sugar.

6
Done

Now prepare the syrup, in which we will soak the cake. Mix water with the rest of the sugar.

7
Done

Cut the cake lengthwise into two parts, first soak the lower part in syrup and then add the cream.

8
Done

Cover it with the second cake. Spread the cream on the top and sides of the cake. Top off with chopped almonds.

When cooking the cream, you can use cottage cheese, mascarpone, yogurt etc. You cna easily replace sugar with the powdered one. Experiment with the cake decoration using nuts, berries, pieces of fruit, chocolate chip etc.

Like many people nowadays, I love to explore new places. My favorite type is slow travelling, when you can really blend in with locals and learn about new cultures and languages. But I think there are also perfect times for enjoying freshly baked pastry, a cup of fragrant coffee, and a good movie in the comfort of your own home. I guess I'm kind of a cultural omnivore, and I watch different types of movies, but the ones about art and food inspire me the most!
