The wildly-popular chocolate chip cookies are a timeless classic. By now, everyone has figured out their favorite version of the beloved go-to: thin, crispy, nutty, chewy. The list can go on. Today, however, Cook It will share with you a recipe for soft and moist cookies that taste as if they just came out of the oven even days later. It involves an unexpected ingredient.

The secret ingredient? Cream cheese! In combination with butter, it makes the cookies extra yummy! They turn out melt-in-your-mouth tender inside and slightly crispy outside. Without further ado, let’s make these delicious cream cheese chocolate chip cookies!

Combine cream cheese, butter, granulated and white sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip the mixture until light and fluffy.

Next, add all the dry ingredients.

Form large balls and pop in the fridge for at least a couple of hours before baking.

Bake the cookies for approximately 10 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking tray before transferring to a wire rack.
